Meanwhile, another eyewitness said that it has been raining continuously in Dharali since last night, and there has been a lot of destruction due to a cloudburst in the Kheerganga river.
This was such a scene that reminded us of the Kedarnath tragedy of 2013. The eyewitness said that more than 100 people are buried here. He said that the administration is fully alert, and the army has also reached out.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken information on the unfortunate incident of cloudburst in the Dharali area of Uttarakhand over the phone. During this, he was informed about the relief and rescue operations being carried out by the state government.
He has assured all possible assistance from the central government. At the same time, PM Modi posted on X that the relief and rescue teams are making every possible effort. No stone is being left unturned to provide help to the people.
Army rescue operation continues in Dharali.
A cloudburst incident took place in Dharali village today at around 1:45 pm. This place is about 4 km from the Indian Army camp in Harshil. As soon as the incident was reported, the Indian Army immediately started relief and rescue operations.
So far, 15 to 20 people have been rescued safely, while the injured are being given first aid at the Army Medical Centre in Harshil. At present, search and rescue operations are going on. However, due to heavy rains and bad weather in the area, the situation remains challenging.
